PARENTAL GUIDANCE RETURNS FOR MUST-SEE EVENT SERIES – THE CONVERSATIONS AUSTRALIA NEEDS TO HAVE

The groundbreaking Parental Guidance returns with a special event series, delving deeper than ever before into the challenges of modern-day parenting, on Monday, June 30 at 7.30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

Over four landmark episodes, eight brand new families, with distinctive parenting methods, bravely tackle the most explosive issues parents are facing today: Screen Time, Peer Pressure, Body Image and Mental Health.

These critical topics will be unpacked under the guidance of Ally Langdon, renowned journalist and host of A Current Affair, and Dr Justin Coulson, one of Australia’s most trusted parenting experts, leading the conversations Australia needs to have.

The eight diverse sets of parents include parenting styles Traditional, Pro-Tech, Active, Up Front, Authoritative, The Hard Way, Life School and Positivity. They will focus on and be guided through each topic, undertake real-world and eye-opening challenges designed to help explore the issues and how to parent effectively through them.

Viewers then get a front-row seat in the Parent Lounge where Ally, Dr Coulson and the parents come together to debate the results and the various parenting approaches, as well as share controversial opinions and vote for the parents they’ve learnt from the most. Ultimately, they overcome their divisions to share the struggles and joys of parenthood.

To add further insight and discussion into these monumental issues, experts and inspirational guests will join the Parent Lounge to share their insights and deeply personal stories.

Each episode is packed with emotional stories and innovative strategies that offer insight, practical advice and relatable moments for parents across Australia.

Of the show returning, host Ally Langdon said:

“We are thrilled to bring Parental Guidance back to Australia for this special event series.”

“The show resonates so deeply with audiences because it tackles the universal, yet very personal, journey of parenting.”

“This four-part format allows us to focus on each specific topic in depth and the challenges faced by families today, giving viewers insight and reflection.”

Dr Justin Coulson added:

“Parenting is constantly evolving.”

“This series continues to provide a unique opportunity to observe different parenting styles and methods in action and understand the reasoning behind them.”

“It’s less about judgement and more about learning and understanding the diverse perspectives into navigating parenting in the modern world.”

Parental Guidance is produced by Eureka Productions for the 9Network.

Parental Guidance season three premieres Monday, June 30, at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now
