Prime Video has revealed the official poster, first-look stills, and a release date for its upcoming original movie The Pickup, an action-comedy starring Eddie Murphy, Pete Davidson, and Keke Palmer.

Directed by Tim Story (The Blackening, Ride Along), The Pickup follows two mismatched armoured truck drivers — Russell (Murphy) and Travis (Davidson) — whose routine day spirals into chaos when they’re ambushed by a criminal gang led by the cunning Zoe (Palmer).

What starts as a simple cash pickup quickly becomes a high-stakes ordeal, with dangerous twists, explosive action, and comedic misadventures.

The ensemble cast also includes Eva Longoria, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Andrew Dice Clay, Marshawn Lynch, Jack Kesy, and Joe “Roman Reigns” Anoa’i.

The film is written by Kevin Burrows and Matt Mider, and produced by John Davis, John Fox, Charisse Hewitt-Webster, Eddie Murphy, and Tim Story.

The Pickup brings together old-school comedy chops and new-wave chaos, blending high-octane thrills with sharp humour — and promises a wild ride when it lands on Prime Video this August.

The film premieres globally on 6 August 2025.
