Marks currently runs DREAMCHASER with Mark Fennessy.
With current ABC Managing Director David Anderson vacating the role only a year into his second term, the ABC continues to hunt for his replacement with a variety of names in the offing.
The latest, as reported by Stephen Brook and Kishor Napier-Raman in The Age, is former Nine CEO Hugh Marks.
Marks finished up his seven-year stint with Nine under a cloud of controversy when it was revealed he was in a relationship with another Nine executive, and was not drawn on the cultural issues within the organisation that became public after his exit. The Age reports Marks was unavailable to comment on the ABC rumour.
His name joins a long list of contenders, including current SBS MD James Taylor (who reportedly declined) and former Foxtel boss Amanda Laing.
