Outback Truckers returns to 7mate for its 10th season after a three-year break. Catch new episodes with your favourite truckers facing extreme challenges.

Outback Truckers, which has become a staple of Australian television, will once again take viewers on a high-octane journey through the nation’s most challenging terrains, as some of the country’s most seasoned truck drivers take on extraordinary feats.

The show has been a game-changer for the Australian trucking industry, offering a rare glimpse into the lives of the drivers who keep the country moving. Steve Grahame, one of the show’s original cast members, expressed his excitement about returning to the screen.

“Mate, it’s great to be back! I’m really proud to be a part of this series, it’s changed my life and the Australian trucking industry by putting a positive spotlight on it.

It’s been worth the wait!”

Outback Truckers holds the distinction of being the first ‘outback’ series of its kind, setting the stage for numerous similar productions that followed. Over the years, it has provided employment opportunities for more than 450 local and national screen practitioners, highlighting its significance not only as entertainment but also as a contributor to the Australian screen industry.

This new season promises to be as thrilling as ever, with Steve Grahame, a 72-year-old veteran who has been navigating Australia’s most treacherous roads for 56 years, returning to face some of his toughest challenges to date. Alongside him is Yogi, a family man known for his extensive cross-country hauls from the East to the West Coast.

The upcoming episodes will also feature Sludge, a beloved character who is determined to return to trucking after a near-fatal accident last year. In addition to these familiar faces, the series will introduce new drivers who are stepping up to tackle massive loads in some of the most unforgiving landscapes on the planet.

As the dangers increase, so do the stakes. This season will see the truckers contending with extreme weather conditions, from deadly heatwaves to unexpected tropical storms, as well as the aftermath of record-breaking floods. The roads they traverse are among the toughest in Australia, where few dare to venture. Each haul represents a high-risk endeavour, where both lives and livelihoods are on the line.

The series is renowned for its raw and unfiltered portrayal of the heavy haulage industry, where every delivery is a battle against time, and every decision can spell the difference between success and disaster. Viewers can expect a gripping blend of real-life drama, featuring both rookie drivers teetering on the brink of disaster and seasoned veterans grappling with intense financial pressures.

Julia Redwood, the Executive Producer and Managing Director of Prospero Productions, shared her enthusiasm for the series’ return.

“Millions of fans around the world have been extremely patient waiting for this series.

At last they will be able to follow once again all their favourite truckers and many new amazing ones. These truckers are so important to the nation and to see what they achieve is extraordinary.

It’s true what they say – without trucks, Australia stops!”
