The Amazing Race Australia: Celebrity Edition delivers yet another thrilling episode, as the celebrity teams journey through Cambodia, with the stunning backdrop of Angkor Wat and the mesmerising floating village on Tonle Sap lake.

The remaining five celebrity teams embarked on a journey through a floating village, where they immersed themselves in the local way of life. Their first mission took them to a shopping spree for school supplies, before hopping onto boats to the unique Chong Kneas School.

Here, a rather musically challenging task awaited them; mastering a song in Khmer, taught by the local children.

Darren isn’t one to normally shy away from centre stage, but this was a tough song to learn in the local lingo.”

On the other side of the spectrum, Emma and Hayley showcased their flair for arts by nailing the performance in their very first attempt.

The Detour segment presented a choice – diving into farming or fishing, shedding light on the intricate processes involved in sourcing local food. If one thing’s certain, the celebrities would view shrimp cocktails with renewed reverence after witnessing the exhaustive efforts of the local villagers. Particularly, Darren and Tristan, whose fishing escapade resulted in a sunken boat.

Over at the farming challenge, Harry and Teddy seemed inspired by their nostalgic memories, while Jana and Cor faced their recurring interpersonal challenges. After a series of disagreements, it took a simple embrace for them to find their groove and complete the Detour.

We need another reset hug, stat!

The physical demands of hulling rice under the sweltering Cambodian sun proved daunting. Darren’s troubles became palpable through his visible blisters and perspiration. Cor, while in another one of his disputes with his mother, ended up accidentally spilling an entire bowl of rice.

Despite the day’s challenges, Emma and Hayley consistently led and were the first team to reach the pitstop. The intense finale witnessed Harry and Teddy narrowly escaping elimination, trailing just a few steps behind Darren and Tristan. The audience held their collective breath, only to find out it was a pre-determined non-elimination leg.

Looking ahead to next week: With the final four positions up for grabs, tensions are bound to rise. Will Jana and Cor find themselves at odds once more? Well, (spoiler alert, they do).
