Tensions flare on The Block post-magazine interviews. Plus, Brett’s sly game plan revealed.
Last week, contestants from The Block, faced a barrage of questions from old-school media outlets, including New Idea, Who Weekly, and Woman’s Day.
Despite publishing nightly, highly popular recaps promoting the show, TV Blackbox was not invited to take part in this or any other media event. (In fact, we haven’t heard a word from a Block publicist in over a year…. hint, hint, Channel 9)
One of the main takeaways from these trashy magazine interviews was the escalating tension between Leah and Kristy. Magazine exposés delved deep into their relationship, bringing to light the strain and cracks in their once-close bond.
These revelations from the magazines are now creating waves within The Block community. The friendship between Leah and Kristy, once perceived as unbreakable, is now seemingly on the brink.
It’s evident that these stories have had an emotional impact. Leah, clearly affected by the media coverage, hopes for reconciliation. Yet, it appears that Kristy remains steadfast, not willing to entertain any discussion on the matter.
Switching gears, there’s a silver lining for Leah. She, alongside Ash, is currently in discussion with The Block’s renowned architect, Julian Brenchley. They’re eyeing a unique 3D-printed fence, anticipated to be the talk of Charming St.
But as is customary with The Block, there’s always a twist around the corner. Brett seems to be hatching a plan, a potentially crafty one at that. He’s contemplating the idea of reversing the front and backyard judging. Why, one might ask? Well, the strategic move aims to ensure that his pool, originally planned for the backyard, becomes the star of the front yard week.
Despite the seeming audacity of this move, Brett managed to swiftly convene a body corporate meeting, seemingly pushing his agenda through. Leah remains suspicious of his intentions.
Behind this switcheroo, is a clear incentive: the coveted prize of a Ford Mustang awaits the winners of the front garden week. Brett plays it cool, projecting a nonchalant attitude. Yet, one can’t help but wonder, are the other contestants buying his poker face?
