In the penultimate weeks of The Block, this week’s challenge sees contestants tackle a guest bathroom in addition to a redo room.
Kyle and Leslie from House No.1 have had their fair share of setbacks. Still reeling from last week’s critique of their children’s rooms, their fellow Blockheads rallied behind them, with many sharing praise for their design choices.
Surprise guests, Rachel and Ryan from the previous season, made an appearance. They opted to join Steph and Gian for the highly-anticipated Ford Getaway Dinner.
As they dined, Steph confided in her feelings of betrayal earlier in the series. She recounted the hurt from whispers and accusations made by Kristy and Leah. Rachel and Ryan offered sage advice, emphasising,
“Ignore the gossip and stay true to your Block journey.”
It’s evident that Steph has faced personal trials beyond the competition’s scope. She recently received the devastating news of her grandfather’s passing after a fall. A Greek immigrant, he led a rich, fulfilling life. However, being away from her family during this time has understandably left Steph reeling.
Over in the world of landscaping, Eliza and Liberty have decided to part ways with their previous landscapers. The Melbourne-based duo faced budget constraints, having only $40,000 set aside for their landscaping needs.
This financial limitation, coupled with the landscaper’s concerns over brand perception due to association with The Block, led to the separation.
An interesting dynamic is unfolding among the contestants. A group gathering took place in House No.5, with Leah and Ash, Kyle and Leslie, Steph and Gian, and Eliza and Liberty all in attendance.
However, noticeably absent were Kristy and Brett. It’s no secret that they’ve distanced themselves following past disagreements and dramas with the group.
