Following an unexpected tie for the top spot during bathroom week, Kristy and Brett found themselves celebrating alongside their longstanding rivals, Eliza and Liberty.
The venue? Scott’s picturesque Gisborne residence, Camelot.
Earlier at the Domain Open For Inspections, there was a palpable atmosphere of compassion surrounding Steph and Gian. The brutal critique they received from Marty Fox the previous night left a sting, with Marty likening their bathroom design to a “quarantine facility.”
This week, the challenges escalate as the participants, fondly called our Blockheads, dive into crafting two children’s rooms. Memories from their initial hiccup in the House Decider challenge still haunt Steph and Gian. Their first room missed the brief and they’re now driven to prove their mettle.
Back at Scotty‘s house, the atmosphere was tense but amicable between the warring duos of Kristy and Brett and Eliza and Liberty. The night witnessed a surprising gesture from Kristy who, in a bid to mend fences, offered an apology by the fireside. However, she didn’t hesitate to subtly put the blame on Leah. According to Kristy, Leah was as involved as anyone in the so-called “mean girls” antics. It’s evident that Kristy‘s bond with Leah is now fractured beyond repair.
A new day heralded a fresh challenge for the Blockheads. Tasked with constructing a backyard and BBQ area at the Ronald McDonald House in North Melbourne, right opposite the Royal Children’s Hospital, the participants split into two teams. One team comprised Leah and Ash, Eliza and Liberty, and Kristy and Brett.
The other was led by Kyle and Leslie and Steph and Gian. Last season’s darlings, Dylan and Jenny, were brought in to balance the teams. Beyond the $15,000 prize for the victors, there’s the heartfelt mission of assisting ill children and their families.
As the sun set, celebrations shifted to a local eatery for Ash‘s birthday dinner. All was seemingly jovial until Kristy‘s cold treatment of Leah became obvious to all. It culminated in Brett making a hasty exit post the cake-cutting ceremony.
Back at The Block, Kristy was adamant, making it abundantly clear she no longer wished to maintain any relationship with Leah.
A once cherished bond has now tragically dissolved.
