SAS Australia is gearing up for its return to Channel 7 and 7plus in October, showcasing a fresh batch of celebrity recruits, all set to endure the rigours of the series’ notorious Middle Eastern desert course.
Leading the pack is former rugby league premiership winner and world champion boxer, Anthony Mundine. At 47, Mundine is confident in his abilities, boldly claiming,
“Yeah, you’re going to fail. But it’s not about the setback. It’s about the comeback. If I set out to do something, I’m going to do it. Period.”
This season’s notable change lies in its location. For the very first time, SAS Australia will be setting up base offshore in the Middle East.
Celebrities will experience the extreme desert conditions first-hand, living and training together in a closely-knit environment. This season promises no preferential treatment for celebrity status or gender.
