Actor Robson Green is inviting viewers to join him in exploring his favourite outdoors spots across North-East England in his new series ‘Weekend Escapes’.
Sharing his personal philosophy of making the most of weekends by engaging with nature, Green showcases stunning landscapes, and introduces unique local characters who help us unwind and reset.
In tonights first episode, Green is joined by European Cup winner and Queen of the Jungle, Jill Scott, as they delve into the beauty of North Yorkshire.
The episode sees the pair taking a tranquil walk around the Helmsley Walled Garden before setting off on a picturesque drive through North Yorkshire’s striking landscape. Scott also shares insights into her life in top-tier football.
The second episode takes us to Weardale and County Durham, with former ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ winner Lost Voice Guy, aka Lee Ridley, as Green’s companion.
Ridley brings Green to a cherished childhood spot near his Consett home before they hit the road. Amid the exploration, Ridley regales Green with humorous personal anecdotes, adding a touch of mirth to the journey.
Set to premiere with double episodes on Monday, 10th July at 7.30pm on SBS and SBS On Demand, ‘Robson Green’s Weekend Escapes’ promises a delightful blend of outdoor activities, friendly banter, and breath-taking vistas in its 15-part series.
