SBS and SBS On Demand will tonight premiere a new 15-part series, ‘Robson Green’s Weekend Escapes’.
The series showcases actor Robson Green’s personal philosophy for maximising weekends through outdoor adventures.
Set against the backdrop of captivating landscapes, Green explores his cherished North-East, meeting the people and visiting the places that promise relaxation, rejuvenation, and a reset from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Accompanied by a variety of celebrity guests, family, and friends, Green will trial a range of outdoor activities, each offering benefits for the mind, body, and soul.
In the first episode, former Newcastle United footballer Les Ferdinand joins Green for a trip along the Northumberland Coast. Ferdinand shares his wisdom on how to switch off and relax, while Green embarks on an emotional journey that transcends the ordinary road trip.
The second episode sees Teesside actor Mark Benton pairing up with Green. They embark on an amusing quest to try out outdoor activities designed to improve mental and physical wellbeing. Their journey includes a ride on the world-famous cliff lift in the Victorian seaside resort of Saltburn-by-the-sea.
