Two horse race much?


Channel 9

A busy night for Nine with A Current Affair (582,000)
kicking things off before it splits into:
Thursday Night NRL Live (399,000 Nine BNE/SYD/MEL)
and Thursday Night Knock-Off (226,000 Nine BNE/SYD/MEL)
OR
RBT (131,000 (66,000 Nine ADL/PER; 65,000 9Gem BNE/SYD/MEL)),
Paramedics (167,000 (91,000 Nine ADL/PER; 76,000 9Gem BNE/SYD/MEL)),
and Embarrassing Bodies (176,000 (39,000 Nine ADL/PER; 37,000 9Gem BNE/SYD/MEL)).
Then the splintered schedules return for an episode of
A+E After Dark (69,000).

Nine first in both primary (21.6%) and network (30%) rankings.

Channel 7

Home & Away (444,000 7pm; 368,000 7:30pm-8:30pm Late) offers Seven’s best for the night in an AFL-less Thursday. Britain’s Got Talent (234,000) struggles to retain much of its lead-in audience, though The Front Bar (319,000) lifts of the back of very strong MEL support. The now-cancelled Fantasy Island (47,000) closes out the night.

Seven second in both primary (20.7%) and network (29.3%) rankings.


Channel 10

The Project (174,000 6:30pm; 261,000 7pm) slips to its lowest for the week ahead of a repeat of The Dog House Australia (362,000) which draws only a small audience. Repeats of Law & Order: SVU (153,000), The Cheap Seats (103,000), and Law & Order: SVU (63,000) round out the night.

10 third in both primary (9.7%) and network (16.2%) rankings.


ABC

Budget 2023: Opposition Reply (294,000 (263,000 ABC; 31,000 ABC NEWS)) and 7:30 (199,000) led the ABC’s night, before it relaxed into Grand Designs New Zealand (219,000). Repeats of Griff’s Great Kiwi Road Trip (133,000), Art Works (53,000), and The Exhibitionists (DNR) fill out the schedule.

ABC fourth in both primary (9.4%) and network (14.4%) rankings.

SBS

A big night for SBS with another episode of The Murdochs: Empire of Influence (153,000) before turning into the first two eps of the incredible new Australian drama Safe Home (82,000 (double ep average)).

SBS fifth in both primary (4.6%) and network (10.1%) rankings.


KEY DEMOS

16-39: Thursday Night NRL Live (92,000) led Nine News 6:30pm/6pm, and Seven News 6:30pm/6pm.

18-49: Seven News 6:30pm (164,000) beat out Seven News 6pm, Nine News 6pm/6:30pm, and Thursday Night NRL Live.

25-54: Seven News 6:30pm (211,000) followed by Seven News 6pm, Nine News 6pm/6:30pm, and Thursday Night NRL Live.


MULTI-CHANNELS

Octonauts – EV (117,000) offers ABC Kids/TV Plus another multi-channel win.

One change to the previous week’s primetime line-up after the Total TV figures were added: Home and Away – Late (Seven) lifted 28% to 787,000; RBT (Nine) lifted 6% to 610,000; and The Dog House Australia – rpt (10) lifted 4% to 336,000.

The BVOD best were Home and Away (124,000) and Home and Away – Late (123,000).
