It may have been the biggest ratings flop of 2022, but a “star-studded” line-up of competitors will come together when global tournament The Challenge: World Championship premieres today on Paramount+.
The series is set to be hosted by long-time presenter TJ Lavin, alongside global hosts Brihony Dawson, Mark Wright, and Alejandro “Marley” Wiebe.
In the franchise’s first-ever world tournament, global MVPs will be paired with Challenge Legends, veterans from previous seasons of the MTV series, to create the most epic teams in the franchise’s history.
Together, they will battle it out for a chance to win the brutal finale, worth $500,000.
The Challenge Legends line-up includes notable veterans from previous seasons, including Amber Borzotra, Johnny “Bananas” DeVenanzio, and Wes Bergmann.
The Global MVPs consist of competitors from The Challenge USA and The Challenge Australia, such as Emily Seebohm, Grant Crapp, Troy Cullen and Kiki Morris. In addition, cast members from The Challenge UK and The Challenge Argentina will be announced at a later date following each series’ finale.
At this stage, Channel 10 has no plans to air the reality series on any of its free-to-air channels.
