7NEWS Regional has confirmed that Nick Hose will join the team and co-anchor the nightly bulletins alongside Madelaine Collignon.
Beginning February 13th, Hose and Collignon will anchor 7NEWS Regional bulletins from 6 PM on 7NEWS Coast, 7NEWS New England, 7NEWS Central West, 7NEWS Riverina, and 7NEWS Border.
With extensive experience working as a producer, journalist, and presenter across the ABC and Seven Network, Hose brings a wealth of knowledge to his new role.
Nick Hose said:
“I am thrilled to be joining Madelaine behind the desk to deliver news to our local audiences. There has never been a more exciting time to work in news and I can’t wait to get out into the community and cover the stories that matter.”
Craig McPherson, the Seven Network Director of News and Public Affairs, stated that the network is proud of the contributions 7NEWS makes to the communities of regional Australia.
“We invest in news and we deliver it to massive parts of our country where other networks have chosen to walk away from. Putting Nick into the lead presenter role ensures our loyal audiences continue to receive quality local news from a quality newsman.”
Paul Patrick, the Director of 7NEWS Regional News, expressed excitement about Nick joining the team and stated that he is confident Nick will help maintain 7NEWS’ market leadership. Nick himself expressed his excitement about the new role, stating that there has never been a better time to work in news.
This appointment comes after an impressive result in the ratings for 7NEWS regional programs last year, where the network won every week of the survey year. With Nick Hose joining the team, 7NEWS is poised to continue delivering quality local news to regional Australia.
