She came as a Faithful. She killed as a Traitor. She conquered the game.

Alex Duggan from South Australia has won the first Australian series of The Traitors Australia. Through her Logie Award-winning tears, here is how she strategically manipulated her way to $250,000…

In an all-or-nothing challenge, the final four players – the Faithfuls Craig and Lewis, and the Traitors Kate and Alex – abseiled down a terrifying waterfall to claim the silver bars, bringing the total prize pot to $250,000.

During the hustle, Alex had her sights set on Kate. Of the two Faithful left, she decided to work with Craig, and after much persuasion, Craig was on board. Meanwhile, Kate had her sights set on Alex.

For Faithful Lewis, he believed Kate was the only person he could trust. His number one suspect was Alex which was perfect for Kate’s game. Kate’s plans became derailed when Craig told Alex and Kate that Lewis was gunning for Alex.

In the final Banishment Ceremony, the votes piled on Lewis, who revealed he was indeed a Faithful. Yes, Craig, you sweet, sweet man, the girls have been playing you.

Then it was time for the Traitor showdown we’d been waiting for, with both Alex and Kate pleading their case with Craig to take them to the end game.

In the end game, Alex, Kate and Craig had to decide whether to share the winnings or go to a final vote to banish who they thought was the Traitor. Unanimously choosing to vote, Alex’s crocodile tears worked overtime on Craig, which led to Traitor Kate being banished.

Craig was thrilled thinking he had nabbed himself the last Traitor, but when Alex revealed to him that she was actually a Traitor, Australia saw Craig’s heart break. He was duped, and Alex was $250,000 richer. Don’t hate the player, love the game!

  1. So dissatisfied with this ending. Alex did literally NOTHING until she was recruited, then uses this insider info to backstab two people who had played a perfect game and done all the hard work. She displayed no skill and clearly wasn’t good at the game, yet still wins. The recruitment twist was stupid and ruined the show. Boo urns.

  2. Yup Alex sucked. The least talented player and most backstabbing won. Nigel or Kate deserved the win. If I were Kate, when it was down to the last 3, I would’ve just fessed up and told Craig that they were both traitors, so he had no way of winning. Then, I would’ve offered to split the pot with him if he voted Alex out. Technically, Kate would’ve won all the money, but she could’ve offered to just frikin venmo him half after it’s over. That’d be my move. Something bold like that in order to convince Craig to vote Alex. Bc there’s no way Backstabby Alex could be trusted.

  3. I absolutely hate that Alex won! She never did any of the work that I saw everyone else put into especially Nigel. Nigel’s biggest mistake was recruiting Alex for the game. Idk why they chose her when she literally didn’t work hard to make any money she just stood by the side! I was hoping that Kate had talked to Craig and told him that she was a traitor so they could have split the profits and pushed Alex out because what did Kate and him have to lose at that point? Kate played a perfect game and worked so hard.I could really see the look on Craigs face when Alex backstabbed him! He really thought he was gonna win! I could not stand seeing Alex trying to fake cry and taking advantage of Craig with how sweet and how true he was. But to me the faithfuls was never gonna win bc they kept bringing traitors in and sending faithfuls home. All in all I wish Kate/Nigel would have won not Alex!!

  4. I feel like the edit constantly signposted that she was the winner – saying the story of how she would spend the money three or four times. We didn’t hear about anyone else’s plans. Heavy handed.

Also, that English Paul guy got one talking head, once, not even an intro VT. Who was he? Was he really there at all or just a guy in who wandered in on the way home from the pub?!
