Raging against the purgatory of not knowing, the family venture back out into the world of the living to discover new aspects of themselves and their missing sister.
Hanna (Zoë Steiner) pursues her theory that her mother made the mysterious phone call to the house. When word comes from the police that they expect a body to resurface any day, the family resist the purgatory of not knowing.
They try to enter the land of the living.
Den (Kenneth Moraleda) escapes to his safe place – the dance studio – but soon discovers pushing himself physically and trying to retreat from his pain is unsustainable.
Claire (Alison Bell) finds it unbearable to stay in the house. She connects with Ali (Fayssal Bazzi), the builder who has come to ensure the building site is safe.
Ursula (Rachael Blake) ventures to Sarah’s workplace with Wayne (Todd McKenney). Sarah’s colleague drops a bombshell causing Ursula to interrogate her own culpability in her missing sister’s anguish.
Meanwhile Ciaran (Gulliver McGrath) is drawn back to school but finds himself staring in at his old existence. Some popular kids take him under their wing in further proof of the surprise upside of his bereavement.
Unable to shake her catholic guilt, Ursula summons the family to a prayer service with the parish priest. She is certain that Claire was in on a secret with Sarah that led to suicide. If it weren’t for Claire they might have saved Sarah’s life. But Ursula has guessed wrong, and Claire clearly knows more…
