To coincide with the launch of the A-Leagues 2022/23 Season, the APL has announced the launch of a new documentary series A-Leagues All Access, which is set to push sporting boundaries, following players through the highs and lows of the season.

The ambitious behind-the-scenes docuseries will span 30 episodes, filmed and aired week-to-week, unlike other football documentaries of its kind.

The series will be broadcast on Thursday evenings on KEEPUP.COM.AU, the KEEPUP app and KEEPUP on YouTube, whilst negotiations remain ongoing for other broadcast distribution channels.

Each episode will feature a different character in the A-Leagues from players to coaches and fans, going beyond match days with unlimited access to their football, their lives and their passions.

The series will feature a number of players from the Isuzu UTE A-League including Manchester United turned Melbourne Victory hero, Nani, followed by Brisbane Roar’s Charlie Austin, Melbourne City Coach, Patrick Kisnorbo and rising Socceroos and Central Coast Mariners star, Garang Kuol.

During the season break for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM, Liberty A-League stars shine with Western United and Matildas Chloe Logarzo, Melbourne Victory’s Kayla Morrison and Melbourne City and Matilda’s goalkeeper, Melissa Babieri.

A-Leagues All Access was conceptualised in partnership between the A-Leagues and leading production house, JAM TV, the company behind some of Australia’s most successful sports documentaries including ‘Making Their Mark’, ‘Fearless’ and ‘Show Me The Money’.

Commenting on the series, APL CEO Danny Townsend said:

“The partnership with KEEPUP Studios and JAM TV to produce A-Leagues All Access is another milestone in our strategic commitment to bringing football fans closer to the game with innovative and entertaining content – where they want and how they choose.

“This real-time, weekly format is a first for Australian sport. We’re delighted that JAM TV and KEEP UP STUDIOS have embraced the challenge of showcasing the heart of our leagues and are confident that the fans will relish in being part of the action, on and off the field.”

Cos Cardone, CEO of JAM TV said:

“This is one of the most exciting sports documentary executions in Australian sport and we are thrilled to partner with the A-Leagues on this unique opportunity to deliver a powerful and premium showcase of the game. It’s a rapid turnaround: from weekend production to release four days later – making the storylines fresh, raw and extremely compelling.

The world over, football documentaries have been extraordinarily successful. From ‘Sunderland ‘Till I Die’, The ‘All or Nothing’ franchise and ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ the game is an incredible canvas for documentary makers.”
