Tom and Sarah-Jane are the envy of The Block after winning guest bedroom and guest bathroom week.

It’s kitchen week on The Block, always one of the most important weeks on the show.

Jenny and Dylan are really struggling as they haven’t won a room and just don’t know how to please the judges.

Rachel is also having a meltdown over the judges. She gets some sympathy from Sharon who thinks they should have won on the back of their bathroom.

Both her and Jenny think the judges play favourites and they are both over it.

After such a rough week, it looks like Ankur and Sharon have an improved attitude. They get some help from Foremen Keith and Dan to clear up their worksite with the Bingo bins.

Sarah-Jane gets her hairdresser to come direct to The Block to fix her hair extensions.

Omar and Oz are being strategic. Weeks ago they called a body corporate to get permission to work ahead with their concrete pouring and the screed in their main part of the extension.

They want to extend this to the mudroom and laundry and hallway and they get Scotty’s approval for part of it.

All the contestants get some mail delivered. The challenge this week goes over two weeks and the aim is to renovate a house for two men in need. Tom and Tyler have special needs and require 24-hour care and their mother Kay wrote to The Block asking for assistance.

Scotty answered the call and two teams of contestants are going to renovate their house – which is just down the road from The Block – entirely in just a few days.

The teams are Rachel and Ryan, Tom and Sarah-Jane and Duncan and Dan – who are the surprise mystery couple.

Dylan and Jenny, Sharon and Ankur and Omar and Oz are on the other team.

This will be a hugely rewarding challenge.

At the Winners and Grinners dinner, Scotty gives the contestants a task. They must go and find an antique with a $100 budget and then it will be valued by an antique dealer at Friday’s drinks. Whoever makes the most profit after the antique is valued, will win $1000.

The Block continues 7:30 Tuesday on Channel 9 and 9Now
