Fr esh from exiting a week of COVID hibernation, the Opposition leader Anthony Albanese has committed to appearing on this Thursday’s edition of Q+A.
The Labor leader will be the only guest this Thursday night on the program which will be hosted by David Speers in front of a studio audience.
The special episode of Q+A comes as the Prime Minister Scott Morrison continues with his decision to boycott the public broadcaster for the election campaign.
The decision by Albanese to appear on Q+A this Thursday comes at the expense of a leader’s debate that the Seven network had hoped to host on the same evening. Instead, the second leader’s debate will now be hosted by Sarah Abo this Sunday, May 8 on Channel 9.
Channel 7 and the ABC are continuing to lobby for the right to host the third leader’s debate which is now expected to occur in the lead up to the final week of the campaign
