Seven’s News coupled with the consistency of the Olympics takes the first night against Nine’s reality in this two-week battle…even though MAFS and 60 Minutes won their slots.
Seven are leaning hard into the Olympics, and the consistency across the night really paid off: 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics – Night 2 (572,000), 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics – Evening 2 (556,000), and 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics – Late 2 (580,000).
Seven first in both primary (26%) and network (32.3%) rankings.
All good business for Nine: Married At First Sight (825,000) jumps up again and maintains its dominance in the timeslot, and the two million dollars Nine reportedly paid for the Cleo Smith interview paid off as 60 Minutes (750,000) pulled some of its best numbers in a year or more. The night ended with a repeat of Australian Crime Stories (151,000).
Nine second in both primary (24%) and network (29.9%) rankings.
The ABC are on a hit with Muster Dogs (549,000) as it performs well in the slot and more than doubles after a week on iview. Vera (560,000) also does well, though the audience all but vanishes for repeats of Doc Martin (187,000) and Harrow (67,000).
ABC fourth in both primary (14.4%) and network (17.1%) rankings.
Ouch. 10 bumped into fourth place as The Sunday Project (227,000 6:30pm; 357,000 7pm) again underwhelms and Australian Survivor (507,000) lifts a little though gets lost in the noise – fourth in the timeslot. A double repeat of FBI (134,000; 91,000) was broadcast.
10 third in both primary (10.1%) and network (14.1%) rankings.
Elizabeth I & II: The Golden Queens (173,000) and Maya: Ancient Metropolis (72,000) land on Sunday for SBS.
SBS fifth in both primary (4.1%) and network (6.5%) rankings.
