More than 15 years later from winning the mirror ball trophy, will the footy legend be fit enough to dance again?
AFL royalty Anthony Koutoufides is back to take another punt at the dancing championship on Dancing With The Stars: All Stars.
The new season begins Sunday, 20 February on Channel 7 and 7plus.
The Carlton great became the first AFL player to take out the mirror ball trophy in 2006, but after suffering plenty of injuries over his decade and a half on the field, Kouta’s game plan might look a little different this time around.
“I need a wheelchair,” says the tough guy after the rehearsal.
With his dance partner calling him “as stiff as a board”, can Kouta come up with the fancy footwork he’ll need to win?
Hosted by Daryl Somers and Sonia Kruger, champions from the past 17 seasons – as well as four wild card entrants – will face highs and lows as they battle it out for their chance to take home the coveted mirror ball trophy in 2022.
After weeks of intensive training, the most talented season of dancers ever to appear on the show will face the judgment of returning panel Todd McKenney, Helen Richey, Paul Mercurio and Mark Wilson.
