The promo gurus at Channel 9 have outdone themselves with the launch promo for reality TV show THE BLOCK

THE BLOCK is heading to a “wild new frontier” this year as FANS take on FAVOURITES for the 2021 season. As Scott Cam rides in on his white horse in cowboy attire, the promo looks and feels like a western even though he is riding through suburban streets.

This is one of the best launch promos I have seen this year and has made me genuinely excited to see the actual show.

The treatment of the vision gives the promo a classic western feel and everyone plays up to the genre. One contestant is even seen doing a ‘Dukes of Hazard’ by sliding over some plywood.

It’s great stuff.

The promo also reveals:

FANS:

  • Tanya & Vito
  • Josh & Luke
  • Kirsty & Jesse

FAVOURITES:

  • Mitch & Mark
  • Ronnie & Georgia
