Black Comedy returns to ABC this week with its fourth and potentially final series.

This season promises to continue the witty, whacky, sometimes acerbic, but altogether unapologetic comedic exploration of what it means to be black in contemporary Australia.

The show is written and performed by some of the funniest blackfellas in the country – a creative team who joyfully carve up sacred cows, dismantle stereotypes, and turn modern Australian culture inside out.

In this series, Black Comedy original cast members Aaron Fa’Aoso, Nakkiah Lui and Bjorn Stewart are joined by series three alumni David Woodhead, Gabriel Willie, Dalara Williams and Maci-Grace Johnson. Rounding out the core performers in this series are Indigenous comedy legend Sean Choolburra and dynamic new writer/performer Jalen Sutcliffe.

As always, the core cast is supported by an exceptional line up of guest actors including: Christine Anu, Rob Collins, Shari Sebbens, Luke Carroll, Jack Charles, Meyne Wyatt, Aaron McGrath, Anita Hegh, Jeremy Lindsay Taylor, Jenna Owen, Guy Edmonds,   James Fraser, Dylan Hare, Tibian Wyles, Nayuka Gorrie, Billy McPherson, Tysan Towney, Claudia Karvan, Annie Maynard, Leeanna Walsman, Jeremy Sims, Toby Schmitz, Sarah Bishop, Abbie-lee Lewis, Jimi Bani and last but by no means least, the late and great Ningali Lawford-Wolf.

During episode one, we meet a Full-On Murri who has very strong opinions on how Blackfellas should and shouldn’t behave, we spend time on the couch with a couple of cousins who are considering getting to know each other a lot better, and we accompany Shane on his first day at University as he discovers that things are not all as they seem.

Black Comedy, Series 4 premieres Wednesday Feb 5 at 9pm on ABC
