The new series of the critically acclaimed chat show Alan Carr: Chatty Man, currently filming in the UK, has been secured for UKTV and will premiere for the first time on the channel from October 14.
The 15 x 60’ wonderfully self-deprecating series presented by BAFTA Award-winning Alan Carr delivers side-splitting comedy with even more laughter, silly antics, celebrities and top music acts than ever before.
Loved by both the public and his guests for his irrepressible, warm and witty approach, Alan welcomes a stellar line-up of guests including British pop sensation Jessie J, singer and songwriter Ella Eyre, critically acclaimed actors Kate Hudson and Zach Braff, stand-up comedian Lee Mack and funny man Jack Whitehall.
Also joining Alan on the couch for series 13 is Emmy Award-winner Dan Aykroyd, British rapper and singer-songwriterProfessor Green, English rock band Kasabian and one of the best-selling artists of all time, Lionel Richie.
Each episode sees Alan entertain three celebrity guests on his sofa, where the usual rules of chat shows do not necessarily apply! There’s high jinks, juicy gossip and with Alan’s gentle mocking approach, who knows what the celebrities will reveal about themselves? Every episode culminates with a performance from a premier music act.
Natalie Edgar, Director of Television BBC Worldwide ANZ, said: “Alan Carr: Chatty Man is hugely popular and I am delighted to have secured such a strong title for the UKTV portfolio. Filled with larger than life characters, I am now more confident that ever that UKTV has the perfect mix of hilarious comedies, brilliant chat shows, classic drama and detective series, addictive soaps and iconic British events.”
Alan Carr: Chatty Man will premiere on UKTV on Tuesdays at 9.30pm from October 14.
