Love Island Australia is heading somewhere very different for its eighth season, with the reality dating series leaving its familiar surrounds behind for a brand-new tropical setting.

As TV Blackbox first revealed earlier this year, the series is moving to Fiji and taking over the Love Island USA villa, with Sophie Monk returning to host when the new season arrives on Channel 9 and 9Now this October.

In the new promo, US host Ariana Madix welcomes the Australian takeover with a warning:

“Good luck Australia, try not to break anything!”

She then throws the keys to the villa into the air, with Monk catching them before declaring that Australia has the keys to the famous Love Island USA villa.

But there’s one problem — it needs a little “Ausification”.

The Australian touches soon start appearing, with the villa getting a barbecue, Australian flags, a Vegemite poster and 10 hot new Islanders.

Monk later sums up the takeover with a cheeky message:

“America built it, but Australia will make it great… AGAIN!”

Love Island Australia is produced by ITV Studios Australia for the Nine Network, take a look at the new season in the first-look promo below.

The new season of Love Island Australia premieres Monday, October 26 on Channel 9 and 9Now.
