Hayu is preparing to expand its global reality fan event with confirmation that Hayu FanFest will arrive in Australia later next year.

The announcement of the fan event comes as the NBCUniversal owned reality streamer prepares to mark its tenth anniversary in Australia next March, a milestone that underscores Hayu’s role in bringing Bravo’s biggest unscripted franchises to local audiences.

The in person celebration will cater for reality diehards and casual viewers alike (Hayu’s international take on a BravoCon style event), offering on stage panels and interviews across a full day of programming, with exact venue details in Sydney still to be revealed.

It will also feature meet and greet sessions and photo opportunities with cast from some of Hayu and Bravo’s most recognisable series, leaving fans to wonder which reality favourites will make the trip Down Under.

Attendees can look forward to immersive brand activations designed to bring their favourite shows to life, with exclusive merchandise created for the event available to attendees.

After a decade of cultivating a highly engaged Australian community, Hayu says the local edition will provide a strong platform for brands and partners through tailored sponsorship opportunities.

Hendrik McDermott, MD of Hayu, EMEA Networks and International Direct To Consumer at NBCUniversal, said the global momentum behind FanFest meant it was only a matter of time before the event reached Australia.

“When London’s 2024 Hayu FanFest sold out in mere minutes, we knew it was only a matter of time before we would deliver the ultimate fan experience to our loyal subscribers Down Under”

he said.

Hayu launched in Australia, the UK and Ireland in 2016 and has since expanded into 42 markets, now streaming more than 10,000 episodes from over 350 reality titles, all ad free with new seasons arriving the same day as the USA.

The event will be delivered in alignment with 7Bravo, the NBCUniversal and Seven Network joint venture free to air channel, with the partnership set to offer local brands bespoke sponsorship opportunities and access to exclusive 7Bravo media packages.
