Reality TV fans have a new social experiment to binge this month with Wife Swap: The Real Housewives Edition, streaming only on Hayu in Australia this October.
The four-episode event series follows Angie Katsanevas (Salt Lake City), Emily Simpson (Orange County), Melissa Gorga (New Jersey) and Dr. Wendy Osefo (Potomac) as they swap their luxurious lifestyles for those of real wives in very different worlds.
Each standalone episode sees the Real Housewives challenged by unfamiliar routines, household dynamics and unexpected conflicts, while the host families get a glimpse into the structured and aspirational lives of reality TV stars.
Episodes include:
- Overdressed and Underprepared (Oct 15): Angie Katsanevas swaps her brand-heavy life for an off-grid homestead with Lindsay Flake.
- All is Ferret in Love and War (Oct 22): Dr. Wendy Osefo experiences a free-spirited Florida household full of ferrets and fun.
- Too Cool for Gabagool (Oct 29): Melissa Gorga trades organization and tradition for a disorganized vegan lifestyle.
- Daddy Duties Vs Daddy Don’ts (Nov 5): Emily Simpson navigates an old-school, laid-back marriage in Orange County.
Produced by Truly Original (a Banijay Americas company), the series combines emotional moments, eye-opening cultural swaps and a chance to see whether reality TV glamour holds up under real-life pressure.
