Australia’s most beloved comedian, writer, and actor, Kitty Flanagan, will take centre stage at the 2025 Women in Media Oration Honouring Caroline Jones AO, delivering an address like no other in Sydney on 28 May.

Known for her live stage shows, best selling books, and TV roles in Fisk, Utopia, and Have You Been Paying Attention, Flanagan’s rare appearance at this prestigious event promises to be one of the most compelling and entertaining moments on the media calendar.

Flanagan is perhaps best known as the co-writer, co-director, and star of Australia’s most popular comedy series, Fisk. Initially told her female protagonist was ‘too unlikeable,’ Fisk has defied expectations, breaking broadcast and streaming records by surpassing three million viewers for its latest premier, and ranking in Netflix’s Top 10 in 10 countries.
