Based on a 2013 South Korean series of the same name, The Good Doctor stars Freddie Highmore as Shaun Murphy, a young autistic savant surgical resident at the fictional hospital.

The Good Doctor has won the Most Popular International Drama award at the TV Blackbox Awards.

Actor Lincoln Lewis announced the winner during the live stream of the awards on TV Blackbox.

The full list of nominees in the Most Popular International Drama category were:

  • Mare of Easttown (Binge)
  • The Good Doctor (7)
  • Succession (FOXTEL)
  • Yellowstone (Stan)
  • The Handmaid’s Tale (SBS)

Airing in Australia on Seven, The Good Doctor has now entered its fifth season and still remains popular with viewers in the U.S. and globally.
