Chris Bath has today reassured viewers she will remain with 10 News First, anchoring the weekend bulletin in 2025, despite her upcoming role as the new host of ABC Radio Sydney’s Drive program.

Bath, who will step into the position vacated by Richard Glover after 26 years, shared the news on Instagram this morning, quashing rumours of her TV departure from her news reading role she has held since early 2019.

Taking to Instagram this morning, Chris said:

Despite reports to the contrary 🤦🏻‍♀️ will be showcasing the excellent work of the fine #TenNewsFirst team & see you on the telly for @10newsfirst @channel10au all weekend & in 2025 too….

There’s TV life in the old girl yet….😜

Chris’s husband, Jim Wilson, former 7 News and 2GB radio presenter, humorously replied with, “Hopefully see you for a day off sometime in 2025,” alluding to Bath’s busy year ahead as she balances weekday drive hosting and weekend news presenting duties.

10 News First National Weekend bulletin airs Saturday & Sundays at 5:00pm on Channel 10 and 10 play.
