Channel 10 is set to reignite the excitement of the iconic sports entertainment show, Gladiators, reintroducing it to Australian audiences after a considerable hiatus.

This time, the show is revamped for the 21st century with a new ensemble of Gladiators, each bringing a unique blend of athleticism and character to the arena. The show, known for its high-energy competitions and larger-than-life personalities, promises to deliver a fresh take on the classic format that captivated viewers in its previous iterations.

Leading the pack of new Gladiators is Jett Kenny, an Australian ironman and the progeny of celebrated athletes Grant Kenny and Lisa Curry. Joining him is Damien Rider, another familiar face from The Bachelorette, known for his competitive spirit and physical prowess. The rest of the cast, primarily comprising fitness enthusiasts and gym aficionados, may be new to the Australian public, but they are all in peak physical condition, prepared to take on the challenges that the Gladiators arena will throw at them.

The show’s format retains its essence with a mix of new challenges and classic events, including Hang Tough, Duel, The Wall, Power Ball, Pyramid, and The Eliminator. These events are designed to test the Gladiators and their contenders across various physical attributes such as speed, strength, stamina, and agility.

The series will be hosted by Liz Ellis and Beau Ryan, who are set to bring their unique flair and engaging commentary to the proceedings, adding an extra layer of excitement to the show.

Jett Kenny’s background is particularly noteworthy. His mother, Lisa Curry, is an acclaimed swimmer with a haul of international medals, and his father, Grant Kenny, is a record-setting Australian Ironman.
