Legendary culinary expert Maggie Beer is set to make a special guest appearance on the popular culinary competition, The Great Australian Bake Off.
The new season, featuring twelve passionate amateur bakers, is set to air Tuesdays at 8.30pm starting June 13, available both on Foxtel and On Demand.
As the bunting unfurls and the ovens heat up, the latest crop of Australia’s top home-baking talent prepares to step into the iconic Bake Off shed. They will be closely scrutinised by esteemed judges Rachel Khoo and Darren Purchese, supported by show hosts Natalie Tran and Cal Wilson. The cherry on top of this baking bonanza is the return of Maggie Beer, the former judge stepping back into the shed to impart her wisdom to the new bakers.
Speaking about her return, Maggie Beer said,
“Returning to the Bake Off set was a delight. The new team extended a warm welcome, and it was exciting to see the talented contestants.
The Bake Off is home to such positive energy and warmth, something that I am proud of having contributed to for the last five seasons.”
First-time judge Darren Purchese expressed admiration for the baking talents, saying, “Rachel and I were bowled over by the creativity and enthusiasm of the bakers. Being a Bake Off judge is a dream come true, and sharing this experience with Maggie Beer is indeed special.”
