Ash Williams just missed out on being The Bachelor, he reached the top 25 for Big Brother, he’s appeared on a US sitcom with Charlie Sheen, but he’s never cracked the big time.

Now audiences are finally discovering why Australia’s biggest comedians love this guy.

But it turns out Ash never wanted to appear on the show bringing him his newfound fame.

In an interview for the McKnight Tonight podcast, recorded before he was offered his current gig, Ash proclaims “I will never be in the jungle”.

The extraordinary claim comes during a candid interview where Ash talks about his failed radio career and the inside story on why so many of his ventures have failed to fire up.
