They say all good things must come to an end, and this week marks one landmark finale that no one will want to miss.
Yes, after eight seasons and 73 episodes, we’ll finally see the curtain fall on all the happenings of Westeros when the series finale of Game of Thrones airs on Monday, May 20. This season has delivered epic moments from the get-go and viewers around the world will be watching to see what goes down in this concluding episode. Do not go anywhere!
But it’s not all about goodbyes – we also get to also say hello a much-anticipated new series. Fosse/Verdon depicts the tumultuous relationship between iconic choreographer Bob Fosse (think Cabaret) and dancer Gwen Verdon. Starring A-list stars Sam Rockwell and Michelle Williams as the titular duo, it’s a glamorous and fascinating look at a truly creative partnership.
Also kicking off this week is a reboot of Magnum P.I. – that’s right, the great ’80s private detective series set in Hawaii returns, with new leading man Jay Hernandez radiating plenty of Tom Selleck-like charm. It’s action-packed crime-solving fun just like the original.
Speaking of action, there’s plenty of real-life excitement coming, too. This year’s Roland Garros will commence with the world’s best tennis players heading to Paris for some Grand Slam drama; while the iconic Formula 1 World Championship: Monaco Grand Prix gets underway; and also the Supercars superstars will vie to dominate the Winton SuperSprint in Victoria.
So whether it’s ruling the racetrack, the tennis court, the stage or the Iron Throne, see who comes out on top this week on Foxtel!
