Wallabies to play final pool match this Friday on 10
The AFL and NRL have called full time on 2019, but the game they play in Heaven, kicks on.
The Wallabies will run out for their final Rugby World Cup Pool D fixture against Georgia this Friday.
Australia's 45-10 win against Uruguay last Saturday moves them to the top of Pool D on 11 points but Wales, who sit on nine points, have two matches still to come and are expected to go through undefeated unless Fiji can spring an upset later today. (Does anyone know the words of the Fijian anthem? Asking for a friend.)
If Wallabies come away with a win this week, it puts them on a collision course with World number three, England, in the quarterfinals and World number one, New Zealand, in the semi’s.
By the sounds of that, the Wallabies’ journey to world domination is going to be more drama filled than Angie navigating her journey to love. But, boy oh boy, are we here for it.
Boasting a commentary team with unrivalled experience and knowledge, the undeniable “Voice of Rugby”, Gordon Bray, will spearhead 10’s coverage. Gordon will be flanked by Wallaby legend and 10 News First Sydney Sport Presenter, Matt Burke, who will provide invaluable insights that only a World Cup-winning Wallaby can, along with 72-Test mainstay of the Wallabies line-up, Wallaby Nick Phipps, Sports Tonight presenter, Scott Mackinnon, and 10 News First Brisbane sport presenter and Rugby sideline reporter, Jonathan Williams.
