While she’s out the game (but her sister KJ isn’t), OG influencer Sophie Cachia brings readers into an intimate discussion about her life.

Think you know all there is to know about mother, OG influencer, pyjama business queen, open book and Reality TV star Sophie CachiaThen There Was Her is Sophie’s debut book that is an intimate disclosure of new revelations and is a riveting, revealing and at times racy memoir about the moments that didn’t make it to her Instagram grid.

Sophie met AFL footballer Jaryd Cachia when they were young – 20 and 19 years old respectively – and early on discovered that polygamy was something that together they’d like to explore.

After having her first child at 23, Sophie was diagnosed with severe post-natal depression and since then, has battled her depression and anxiety demons for nearly the last decade. Throughout this, however, she never lost her drive, and her aspirations for hard work and success only intensified.

Sophie said:

“Going into this I probably wasn’t prepared just how brutal it would be to revisit a lot of times in my life that haven’t always been pleasant and to have to feel certain things again. But what I have realised is Then There Was Her was in fact a cathartic process for me; I can now stand here with the finished memoir & be nothing but proud to see the woman that Sophie has evolved into and own her in every right.

“Then There Was Her navigates my life again as a virgin; exploring my new world of first sexual encounters with the female body and how I realised what I had been missing all this time.

“Parts of the book are savage, parts are erotic; parts will make you squirm, and some might make you cry. But this book is me; and I’ll always be me.

“I hope Then There Was Her will show women how you can be grateful in life, but be simultaneously unsatisfied – and I ask my readers to please stop being so afraid of the unknown; to instead be excited by what the unknown may just bring you in life.”

Then There Was Her dissects the journey of a young woman in the public eye grappling the identity crisis of who she thought she had to be versus who she knew she was yet to become. Navigating her sensuality as a teenager, archaic social pressures, the devastating reality of falling out of love with someone she didn’t want to, loss of self that came with motherhood and the exciting LGBTQIA+ dating scene, and how all these moments changed the path of life for Sophie to ultimately find her true self.
