AIRDATE | SUCCESSION with Sarah Snook returns for a second season this August
The second season of Succession, the bitingly funny, acclaimed drama series that explores the themes of power, politics and family, launches express from the US, this August on FOX SHOWCASE.
Blending high drama with sharp humour, the Emmy-nominated series centres around a rich and dysfunctional family whose patriarch, Logan Roy (Brian Cox), is CEO of Waystar Royco, one of the world’s largest media and entertainment conglomerates. In addition to Cox, Succession also stars Kieran Culkin, Alan Ruck, Sarah Snook and Jeremy Strong as the four Roy siblings.
Beginning where season one dramatically left off, season two follows the Roys as they struggle to retain control of their empire amidst internal and external threats. While the future looks increasingly uncertain, it is the past that portends to ultimately destroy them, as each of Logan’s four children remains focused on personal agendas that may or may not sync with those of their siblings.
Succession is created by Oscar nominee Jesse Armstrong and executive produced by Armstrong; Adam McKay (Oscar-winner for The Big Short); Frank Rich (three-time Emmy-winner for Veep); Kevin Messick (Oscar nominee for Vice), Will Ferrell (Emmy nominee for SNL)); Jane Tranter (Emmy nominee for The Night Of); Mark Mylod (Emmy nominee for Entourage); and Tony Roche (Emmy winner for Veep).
Succession is an HBO series and is exclusive in Australia to Foxtel.
