Beautiful One Day…Delicious The Next.

MasterChef Australia Hits The Road For Queensland Week.

It’s Queensland’s time to shine as MasterChef Australia hits the road for a week of exploring the Sunshine State, starting tonight at 7.30pm on 10.

First stop is Brisvegas, where our 15 remaining contestants will need to create a delicious dish using one or more of Queensland’s finest ingredients in a mystery box challenge.

The challenges don’t stop there, as a convoy of food trucks signal tonight’s invention test whereby contestants must create two dishes inspired by a choice of seven different cuisines for hundreds of hungry Brissie locals.

Put your fancy pants on as Monday night’s episode sees the contestants who failed to impress in yesterday’s food truck challenge arrive at one of Brisbane’s most-celebrated restaurants Montrachet. To save themselves from elimination contestant will need to recreate one of the head chef’s signature recipes, but without a recipe.

The contestants head north on Tuesday night to the picturesque town of Maleny for an immunity challenge. In round one contestants will need to create a delicious sweet or savoury dish zinging with ginger. The winner will then cook off against a professional chef using one of five beautiful Queensland ingredients to feature in their dish.

What better location for Wednesday night’s team challenge than Queensland’s beautiful Noosa Beach. Joined by season eight winner Elena Duggan and proud sunny coast local and MasterChef Australia mentor Matt Sinclair, contestants will have two and a half hours to cook and prep a barbeque feast of four different dishes to serve 150 locals.

Next stop is the popular Gold Coast local dinning haunt of Rick Shores at Burleigh Heads. It’s an elimination challenge where the first round is a MasterChef skills test. And in the second round contestants will need to prep and cook a delicious seafood platter that must include at least one raw, one fried, one steamed item, as well as two dressings or sauces.

Spicers Hidden Vale is the final Queensland destination where the contestants are treated to a MasterClass by the judges alongside Homage restaurant’s Ash Martin.
