Sky news pays tribute to the comedy legend this weekend.
In an exclusive special, Sky News Australia pays tribute to the life of legendary Australian entertainer Barry Humphries, following his passing over the weekend at 89-years-old.
The compelling half-hour special BARRY HUMPHRIES – A TRIBUTE will premiere on Sunday 30 April at 8:30pm AEST hosted by Sky News Anchor and close friend of Humphries, Rowan Dean.
Sunday’s special looks back on the colourful life of a man who became an Australian and global icon. Alongside memorable archive footage, the tribute will feature interviews with long-time friends including journalist Ray Martin, film director Bruce Beresford and author Kathy Lette.
Best known for his comic creations of Moonee Ponds housewife Dame Edna Everage and boorish Sir Les Patterson, Humphries’ iconic characters featured in many unforgettable performances; all contributing to what made him a national treasure.
