HBO has officially unveiled the new stars of its upcoming Harry Potter television series, naming Dominic McLaughlin, Arabella Stanton, and Alastair Stout as the next generation to portray Harry, Hermione, and Ron.
The announcement follows an extensive casting process that saw tens of thousands of young hopefuls audition for a place in the Wizarding World.
The series, set to stream on HBO Max, promises a faithful adaptation of J.K. Rowling’s beloved book series and will exist alongside the original film franchise.

The HBO Original Harry Potter television series has cast screen newcomers Dominic McLaughlin in the role of Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley.
Showrunner and Executive Producer Francesca Gardiner and Director and Executive Producer Mark Mylod jointly said:

The series will be a faithful adaptation of the beloved Harry Potter books by author and executive producer J.K. Rowling.
Each season will bring Harry Potter to new and existing audiences, streaming exclusively on HBO Max where it’s available, including in upcoming launch markets Germany, Italy and the UK.
The original classic films will remain available to watch around the world.
The series is written and executive produced by Francesca Gardiner. Mark Mylod will executive produce and direct multiple episodes of the series for HBO in association with Brontë Film and TV and Warner Bros. Television.
