Seven:
As south-east Queensland and northern NSW stare down Cyclone Alfred, the Seven Network’s Sunrise and 7NEWS will continue to keep Australians informed with extended live coverage right across today and the weekend on Seven, 7plus, 7NEWS.com.au and social platforms.
Sunrise will be extended to midday today, broadcast live into Queensland, with coverage led by Matt Shirvington on the Gold Coast with Katie Brown in Ballina.
Then from 1.00pm AEDT, immediately following Seven’s National News at Noon, Michael Usher will anchor 7NEWS rolling coverage live from Brisbane, alongside Seven’s team of expert presenters and reporters stationed right across the region, keeping viewers up to date on critical weather warnings and evacuation information.
That team includes: 7NEWS Queensland anchor Max Futcher in Surfers Paradise, 7NEWS Sydney anchor Angela Cox in Byron Bay, 7NEWS Gold Coast Chief Reporter Amanda Abate, 7NEWS Queensland reporters Marlina Whop in Brisbane, Jordan Quinn in Sandgate, Sam Payne in Redcliffe, Kristina Puljak at Golden Beach, 7NEWS Sydney reporters Bill Hogan in Lismore and Annie Pullar on the Gold Coast.
7NEWS Queensland meteorologist Tony Auden is tracking every development and the latest warnings as they come in, providing critical forecasts and expert analysis on this destructive weather system.
Coverage will continue with Seven’s local afternoon news from 4.00pm across each state, before a special edition of 7NEWS at 6.00pm, extended to 90 minutes across Queensland and NSW, including full reports on the damage Cyclone Alfred has caused so far, as well as the day’s other news.
Michael Usher, Katrina Blowers and Max Futcher will then steer special 7NEWS rolling coverage live from Brisbane, right through the night, as Cyclone Alfred makes landfall and high tide hits.
On Saturday, Weekend Sunrise will broadcast live extended coverage starting from 5.00am AEDT, to be broadcast live into Queensland, with Monique Wright and David Woiwod crossing live to Matt Shirvington on the Gold Coast and Seven’s team of expert reporters across the Queensland and NSW coastline.

Then from 1pm AEST / 2pm AEDT / 11am AWST / 1.30pm ACDT join 10 News First Queensland News Presenter, Sharyn Ghidella, as rolling live coverage will continue throughout the afternoon offering viewers up-to-the-minute information on this developing weather system.
