What happens when you mix stunning Byron Bay views, a luxury retreat, and a group of reality TV contestants who can’t stand each other? Chaos—pure, unfiltered chaos.
Last night’s episode of Married At First Sight served up backstabbing, walkouts, and enough name-calling to make a high school reunion look tame at the Couples Retreat.
Lauren’s icy attitude set off a chain reaction of drama, leaving Jamie fuming, Clint oblivious, and the rest of the group caught in the crossfire.
And just when things couldn’t get messier, the Final Night Drinks turned into a full-blown battleground.
Buckle up—this recap has it all.
From Nine:
The Couple’s Retreat continues, but the stunning surroundings do little to ease the rising tensions within the group.
Drama erupts on Girls’ Night when Lauren dismisses the girls’ questions about her relationship with Clint and walks out of the conversation.
The fallout sends shockwaves through the group and splinters friendships as Jamie, who has always stood by her friends, feels utterly betrayed when Carina and Rhi comfort Lauren instead of standing in solidarity with her. Their attempt to keep the peace only deepens Jamie’s resentment.
Lauren’s rude behaviour leaves Jamie, Awhina, and Beth stunned, but the real shock comes when Lauren makes an admission about her true feelings for Clint.
The next day, Clint remains blind to Lauren’s true intentions, despite Dave’s efforts to make him see the reality of the situation. And when Rhi attempts to stand her ground with Lauren, her words fall on deaf ears.

Meanwhile, Veronica and Eliot, along with Awhina and Adrian, take the retreat as a chance to reconnect after a turbulent week. But while these couples find moments of peace and reconciliation in tranquil Byron Bay, Lauren adds fuel to an already volatile situation when she doubles down on her name-calling, pushing Jamie to boiling point.
At the Final Night Drinks, Jamie and Dave call Lauren out in front of the group. Clint backs Lauren immediately, and what begins as an attempt to hold Lauren accountable quickly turns to frustration when, instead of the support she expects, Jamie finds herself standing alone. Jamie is left feeling angry, abandoned, and betrayed.
With the group more divided than ever, the retreat ends in turmoil.
