Following three epic ODIs and T20I matches which saw the Aussies retain the Ashes, the Women’s Ashes series culminates with a four-day pink ball Test at the MCG from Thursday, 30 January, live and free on Seven and 7plus Sport.

Seven’s commentary team will be on-site at the iconic MCG for the final chapter of the series, featuring former Australian Women’s coach Matthew Mott as a key addition to Seven’s expert coverage.

  1. Ricky Ponting is the real draw card, but having him only there on day 1 seems a cop out.

Also this is the first test match (other than the Ashes in England) that has been on free to air and not Fox since about 2018, so a real chance to show the quality of their out of game analysis, and after game highlights. For example, they should show 60-90 minute duration highlights the next morning on 7mate like Fox would have done.

    • Vicki SilichCopeland is an ugly long neck goofy looser whose mom abused selectors which is why he never played for Australia. Finch is a fat cu$t! Appreciate kfc is a sponsor but dosent mean you need to eat it everyday!!!

  2. It’s great that 7 stepped in to fix the mess of this broadcasting agreement. Foxtel missed a trick in not getting the rights to this series mainly because they didnt have long standard agreement with sri lankan cricket board. 7 I think will also press to get the test series rights to the tour of the west indies in June. No broadcasting agreement has been made for that but interestingly, west indies tests are shown live on Youtube. I’ve viewed a couple with test series against Bangladesh late last year. Annoying with commercials, but we have to put with it. At least, they are not sending their own commentary team over apart from Simon Katich. They will take their commentary from the host broadcaster.

    • Dean Armellin have a feeling Amazon will go hard for those rights piggybacking off the Champions Trophy and the WTC Final both of which they have exclusive rights for

      • Mick Jeffrey The west indies matches will be in the graveyard shift between 12am-7pm. I hope Amazon do get it but I feel 7 is going to press for them even though it would be late at night. Fox will probably still get as they have a better relationship with the west indies cricket board than the sri lankan cricket board – hence not getting the rights for this series. We will see.

  3. Oh dear, fergie is good & the lady I like too , not convinced the other 2 though.
SEN Cricket good apart from adverts.

  4. Thank you ch7, at least someone on free to air has the guts to telecast an overseas series from the subcontinent!

    • Daviddamien Brown just do some research on who she is pal, then get back to us, she knows more about cricket than most men commentating at the moment

  5. Don’t bag them. We the general public have been pleading for cricket on FREE TO AIR….now that 7 have answered our pleading, some of you are not satisfied. Would you rather not be able to watch International games?

  6. Legit question.. Are they actually calling the game in Sri Lanka or from the CH 7 studios with only camera crew on the ground?
