Brisbane’s City Botanic Gardens will come alive with festive cheer as the Lord Mayor’s Christmas Carols return to Riverstage this Friday.
Featuring a star-studded lineup, the beloved Queensland tradition promises an unforgettable evening of carols, community spirit, and holiday joy, broadcast to audiences across the state.

Celebrate the festive spirit with the spectacular broadcast of the annual Lord Mayor’s Christmas Carols as they light up the Brisbane City Botanic Gardens at Riverstage this Friday on Channel 9.
Following 9News Queensland’s leading 6.00pm news bulletin, presenter Melissa Downes will bring the Christmas magic to Queenslanders across the state in an exclusive broadcast of the Carols.
Returning to lead a dazzling night of Christmas cheer, carols and celebrations is the fabulous Naomi Price, who is joined by headlining stars, powerhouse vocalist Conrad Sewell, the soulful Ngaiire, and legendary singer-songwriter Josh Pyke.
The charming children’s ensemble, The Mistle Toes, will delight audiences again this year, alongside the Queensland Ballet, making their Carols debut.
Adding to the entertainment are world-renowned jazz singer Emma Pask, captivating vocalist Fatai, Brisbane’s own Luke Kennedy, musical theatre star Andy Cook, Irish folk band Amaidí, traditional Samoan dance group Tama Laei, remarkable deaf performer Shannon Kettleton and the Toowong State School Signing Choir.
Local First Nations talents Waveney Yasso and Kaylah Coghill, alongside Jess Hitchcock and Dean Brady, will also join in to celebrate the season with heartwarming performances.
The festive lineup continues with crowd favorites including The Jingle Belles, the Little Red Carols Quartet featuring Ally Long, Jade Delmiguez, Kristian Scott and Lachlan Dodd, the Little Red Carols Choir led by director Alex Van den Broek, and a live orchestra featuring String Source. Plus, no Christmas celebration is complete without a visit from the man in red himself.
The evening of great entertainment also presents an opportunity to support the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Trust, helping those in need across the community.
