Disney+ Australia has announced the local release date for Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, the latest series from Lucasfilm. The first two episodes will debut on Tuesday, 3 December 2024, at 1:00 pm AEDT, exclusively on the streaming platform. Subsequent episodes will be released weekly on Wednesdays at 1:00 pm AEDT.
To mark the announcement, Disney+ has unveiled new promotional artwork for the series, which introduces a fresh chapter in the Star Wars universe.
Skeleton Crew centres on four children who, after uncovering a mysterious secret on their seemingly secure home planet, find themselves adrift in an unfamiliar and perilous galaxy. Their quest to return home introduces them to unexpected allies and formidable foes, promising an adventure brimming with discovery and danger.
The ensemble cast is led by Jude Law and features Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Kyriana Kratter, Robert Timothy Smith, Tunde Adebimpe, Kerry Condon, and Nick Frost.
The series boasts an impressive roster of directors, including Jon Watts, David Lowery, the Daniels (Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert), Jake Schreier, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Lee Isaac Chung.
Jon Watts and Christopher Ford helm the writing team and serve as executive producers alongside Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, and Colin Wilson.
