Apple TV+ renews Your Friends & Neighbours ahead of its debut. Explore the drama starring Jon Hamm as a hedge fund manager with a dark twist.
Apple TV+ has confirmed an early renewal for its upcoming drama Your Friends & Neighbours, signalling strong confidence in the series ahead of its debut.
The nine-episode show, created by Jonathan Tropper (See, Warrior, Banshee), stars and is executive produced by Emmy Award-winner Jon Hamm (Mad Men, Fargo). It will premiere on Friday, 11 April 2025, with two episodes, followed by weekly instalments until Friday, 30 May 2025.
The story centres on Andrew “Coop” Cooper, played by Hamm, a disgraced hedge fund manager struggling with the fallout from a public firing and a bitter divorce. Seeking solace in an unusual way, Coop turns to burglarising the homes of his affluent neighbours in Westmont Village. However, what begins as theft unveils darker secrets lurking within the community’s opulent walls.
In a statement, creator and executive producer Jonathan Tropper shared his enthusiasm for the project:
“I’ve had this show in my head for years, and making it has been a dream come true. It’s been an absolute thrill partnering with Hamm, along with Connie Tavel and Craig Gillespie, to bring it to life.
The support from everyone at Apple has been phenomenal, and the fact that they’ve ordered a second season before we aired our first is an incredible validation and a tribute to the work of this stellar cast, as well as the crew, writers, directors and producers who worked so hard to make this show what it is. We can’t wait for everyone to see it.”
The ensemble cast includes Amanda Peet, Olivia Munn, Hoon Lee, Mark Tallman, Lena Hall, Aimee Carrero, Eunice Bae, Isabel Marie Gravitt, and Donovan Colan.
The series is produced by Apple Studios in collaboration with Tropper Ink, with Tropper serving as showrunner under his overall deal with Apple TV+. Hamm is joined in his executive producing duties by Connie Tavel and Craig Gillespie, with Gillespie directing the first two episodes. Other episodes will be directed by Stephanie Laing, Greg Yaitanes, and Tropper himself.
The early renewal reflects Apple TV+’s growing investment in original dramas, bolstered by the creative pedigree behind Your Friends & Neighbours. Viewers can expect the show to bring together sharp writing, high-stakes drama, and compelling performances when it arrives in April.
I am hanging out for’ Landman’ – Billy Bob Thornton and JH.
