Emotional scenes: Brad cries, and Mimi’s lies are exposed on The Block.

The Block Recap: Episode 46 – In Tuesday night’s episode of The Block, airing on Channel 9 and 9Now, tensions are running high with just days left until the homes on Phillip Island are complete.

Yet, the fallout from Kylie’s dramatic exit the previous evening lingers over the competition, leaving everyone on edge.

At the “winners are grinners” dinner, Scott Cam gives Courtney and Grant an update, confirming that Kylie has been located in Brisbane and is on her way home to Cairns. Meanwhile, back at the site, the pre-start meeting kicks off, and Maddy and Charlotte begin their day by attempting to offload leftover building materials dumped in front of their house.

Soon, courtesy of McCafé, word spreads that Kylie has officially left The Block. Mimi is shocked, saying, “She’s always threatened to leave but I didn’t think she’d actually leave, especially with two weeks left.”

Courtney and Grant return from their night away, sharing details with Mimi about Kylie’s departure, though they admit some confusion. The pair dive back into their front yard renovations, leveraging last week’s $30,000 win to craft an impressive entrance. Scotty also stops by Kristian and Mimi’s house, where he hints at a fallout involving Kylie, though Mimi assures him that there was no inappropriate interaction between her and Brad.

“If Mimi didn’t feel uncomfortable about what was said, I have no reason to,” Kristian says supportively.

At House 4, Scotty meets with a worried Brad and shares a surprise: “I’ve spoken to Kylie, and she’s coming back tomorrow.” Brad feels relieved but remains apprehensive, knowing there’s much to resolve upon her return.

Meanwhile, Ricky and Duncan take a “sustainable” approach to their work by scavenging spare materials, though Duncan, keen to follow Ricky’s lead, jokingly labels his tactics as “sustainability” in the quest for freebies. The duo prepares their concrete slab for next week’s Clubhouse build, despite a setback when it becomes a makeshift storage spot, leaving Ricky visibly frustrated.

Over at House 5, Kristian is battling with re-plastering his garage after some damage, and tensions rise when Foreman Dan insists the driveway be cleared for new balcony blinds. Mimi, meanwhile, is caught planning with Courtney in another team’s kitchen, sparking a light-hearted exchange: “If it’s not Kristian you’ll be on your own forever,” Mimi jokes, with Courtney responding, “I think I agree with your parents!”

As Ricky and Haydn continue their landscaping, they run into a costly logistical issue when a pile of rocks is dropped in the wrong location. Despite hours of back-breaking shovelling, the duo’s struggle to manage materials ultimately ends in laughter – as well as a creative plan to hand-sort the river rocks.

Finally, Brad reveals his ongoing anxiety about Kylie’s impending return, expressing his remorse. As the episode closes, Kylie is spotted back at the site, while Brad waits outside their property, visibly emotional.

The Block continues Wednesday night at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now, where Kylie confronts Brad and the teams face new hurdles, from misplaced plantings to burst pipes, as they race to complete Front Yard Week.
