From 2025, WWE fans in Australia must switch to Netflix to access RAW, SmackDown, and NXT. Learn more about the transition here.

From January 2025, Australian viewers of Foxtel and Binge will need to subscribe to Netflix to continue watching weekly WWE programming favourites, including SmackDown, RAW, and NXT.

According to a report by PWInsider, this shift will mark the exclusive availability of WWE’s premium content on Netflix for Australian audiences.

A timeline for the transition of WWE’s Premium Live Events to Netflix including Royal Rumble and WrestleMania is yet to be confirmed, but it is expected to also occur early in 2025. Foxtel has been approached for comment.

The change comes after Netflix secured a significant global deal with TKO Group, WWE’s parent company, earlier this year. The deal, valued at $5 billion, grants Netflix exclusive rights to WWE’s flagship shows and events across several key markets, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Latin America, from January 2025.

In a statement issued by TKO Group earlier this year, it was confirmed that Netflix will become “the home for all WWE shows and specials outside the US as available, inclusive of Raw and WWE’s other weekly shows – SmackDown and NXT – as well as the company’s Premium Live Events.” The statement also hinted that “additional countries and regions” would be integrated into this deal over time.

The transition means that the Foxtel Group’s current partnership with WWE, established under a “multi-year agreement” in 2022, is set to expire. The WWE channel, which currently airs on Foxtel, is expected to cease operations by early 2025.

This ends a significant period where Foxtel has served as the primary platform for WWE content in Australia.
