Apple TV+ debuts the trailer for Shrinking season 2. Find out when Jason Segel and Harrison Ford return with new episodes starting 16 October.
Apple TV+ has released the trailer for the much-anticipated second season of its critically acclaimed comedy series “Shrinking.”
The show, which has earned Emmy Award nominations, features Jason Segel and Harrison Ford in leading roles, with Segel also serving as a co-creator alongside Bill Lawrence and Brett Goldstein, both of whom are Emmy Award winners.
The 12-episode season will debut on Wednesday, 16 October 2024, with the first two episodes available immediately. Subsequent episodes will be released weekly, every Wednesday, until the season finale on 25 December.
“Shrinking” follows a therapist, played by Segel, who is grappling with the loss of his wife. In the midst of his grief, he starts breaking professional boundaries by telling his patients exactly what he thinks, with little regard for ethics or therapeutic norms. These impulsive decisions lead to significant changes in both his patients’ lives and his own.
In addition to Segel and Ford, the series features an ensemble cast that includes Christa Miller, Jessica Williams, Luke Tennie, Michael Urie, Lukita Maxwell, and Ted McGinley. Brett Goldstein will also appear in a guest role during the new season.
The series is produced by Warner Bros. Television in association with Lawrence’s Doozer Productions. Executive producers include Lawrence, Segel, Goldstein, Neil Goldman, James Ponsoldt, Jeff Ingold, Liza Katzer, Randall Keenan Winston, Annie Mebane, Rachna Fruchbom, and Brian Gallivan.
This marks the third collaboration between Apple TV+, Lawrence, and Warner Bros. Television, following the success of the widely popular “Ted Lasso” and the new series “Bad Monkey.” It is also the second time Segel has teamed up with Apple, having previously starred in the Apple Original Film “The Sky is Everywhere.”
