What started with 758 teams, has come down to two. The Australia Cup Final will be a battle of the giants when Melbourne Victory FC and Macarthur FC face off tonight with live coverage kicking off at 6.30pm.

758 teams from every corner of Australia had their eye on the prize at the start of the year, but after a competition full of cupsets and stunning goals, only two clubs remain to be crowned Australia Cup Winners.

Now, Melbourne Victory FC and Macarthur FC are set to battle it out for the title – and a golden ticket to the 2025-26 AFC Champions League Two. Talk about a goal worth shooting for!

Melbourne Victory FC were the first to book their place in the Australia Cup 2024 Final after defeating Adelaide United FC on Saturday evening, qualifying for their third Australia Cup Final and first since they won the competition in 2021.

Last Sunday, a late penalty saw Macarthur FC advance to the Final over South Melbourne FC (Football VIC), as the Isuzu UTE A-League Men side attempts to claim their second Australia Cup title.

Melbourne Victory FC – one of the most successful teams in the modern era of the Australia Cup – will be looking to build on their perfect track record in two previous Finals (2015 and 2021).

Meanwhile, Macarthur FC enters the Final with the confidence of a more recent Cup success, having lifted the Australia Cup in 2022.

Will Melbourne Victory equal Adelaide’s record of three Australia Cup titles, or can the Macarthur Bulls hoof their way to another Cup win? Either way, grab your mates, settle in, and get ready to goal crazy!

Melbourne Victory FC V Macarthur FC airs tonight Sunday, 29 September at 6.30pm on 10 Bold and 10 Play
